Battles and Casualties
Presented are two lists of battles that the regiment participated in during the Civil War. The first comes from the Volumes of Massachusetts in the Army and Navy during the War, Vol. 1, Wright and Portter, 1896. Prepared under the authority of the State by Thomas Wentworth Higginson, State Military and Naval Historian.
The second list is from the regiment's second color sergeant, Sergeant Edmund F Churchill. Churchill's information was taken from two lists he provided with remnants of the regiment's flag.
Also included is a list of fatal casualties that the regiment suffered, these numbers do not include wounded, which is provided from the Volumes of Massachusetts in the Army and Navy during the War, Vol. 1, Wright and Portter, 1896.
